In our quest for failure free operations, we try to learn from our mistakes. Therefore we hold inquiries, make diagnoses about how and why an event occurred, and we offer recommendations for improvement. This mostly results in more rules and regulations. In May 2017, the President of CIP Institute, Dr. Hugo Marynissen, and the Chief Executive, Juan Manuel Domínguez, visited Madrid and Lisbon in order to introduce CIP Institute and our activities, promote our 4th International Conference in Lisbon on 16th June and explore further collaborations.

The year 2017 is looking equally or possibly even more interesting! Next to be invited to new member-only webinars (live or recorded video on demand), as a renewed member you will be eligible for a discounted rate when joining the 4rd International CIP Conference in Lisbon (16 June 2017). This year, the conference will focus not only on a high level of interactivity, it is also our ambition to generate “workshop deliverables” to be co-created and shared with the members during the conference and afterwards. This can be anything from a member webinar, a small report or a short paper, to a blog post, a diagram, mind map, etc.

Two founding members of CIP Institute from Spain and Belgium presented a paper about CIP at the 24rd SRA-E conference organised by the European division of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) in June 2015.
In December 2014, the president of CIP Institute, Dr. Hugo Marynissen, gave a keynote on Reporting as a key element for improving safety culture in healthcare.
His presentation took place at the Flemish Care Inspectorate (Zorginspectie) and was part of an educational day for general management in healthcare. Continue reading
CIP members from SD Group (Spain) and PM risk-crisis-change (Belgium) partnered up to develop a series of four high-level workshop for this congress in Burgos, Spain in July 2014.
Using known and unknown examples, cases and exercises, participants learned about communication with the public in various situations related to the nuclear sector.
At the 23rd SRA-E conference organised by the European division of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) in June 2014, four founding CIP members from PM risk-crisis-change (Belgium) and Inconnect (The Netherlands) presented a symposium about the role of information analysis in effective risk and crisis communication strategies.
